Spring 2023 Semester FAQs

As someone who works full-time, can I take classes at ACC that fit into my schedule?
Austin Community College offers multiple course formats and flexible learning options like ACC Online to help accommodate our students’ busy schedules. Check out ACC’s student support programs like 8-week classes and child care resources.
What is the TSI Assessment and am I TSI Complete?
The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) is a state-required test to determine college-readiness. Students interested in taking a regular credit program must take the TSI test before enrolling. However, you can earn a credit certificate program without being TSI Complete.

Click here for more information on the TSI Assessment at ACC.

Additionally, don’t forget to review your Steps to Enroll!

Is there still time to get financial aid?
After applying to ACC, your first step to financial aid includes completing your FAFSA to apply for grants (free money), loans, and work study employment. Applying early helps ensure the best financial aid options, but FAFSA processes applications year round, meaning it is never too late to complete your FAFSA!
I applied last year but didn’t take classes. Do I have to start over with the application?
If you have received an ACCeID and set up your account, you can skip the admissions and applications steps and start registering for classes! If you need help accessing your ACCeID and account information, connect with the ACC Student Help Desk at [email protected] or call 512-223-4636 for assistance.
Does ACC offer English as a Second Language (ESL) and GED-certification courses?
Yes! Click here to learn more about Basic English classes, High School Equivalency programs, and adult education career pathways.
I’m interested in transferring to ACC. How do I know if my credits will transfer?
ACC has an easy and convenient way to check transfer credits and course equivalencies. If the college or course you are looking for is not listed on this page under the Course Equivalencies column, tccns.org provides a comprehensive database of transfer credits and equivalencies across Texas colleges and universities.
